The 2016 spring/summer introductory course is the first offering by the Black Falcon School of Arms in Kansas. As such, no one has completed the required foundation material in order to be able to begin attending open practice. At the conclusion of the introductory course, we will schedule regular practices for those that have completed the it.
We will be adding a calendar to the page to keep people up to date on practices and such. Until then, you can subscribe to the Black Falcon School of Arms calendar on Google calendars, just search for "Black Falcon School of Arms."
Required equipment for basic practice consists of: a waster and a fencing mask, although allowances will be made for new students. Schollers or those who plan to test for the rank of scholler must own equipment as listed in the ranking section.
At present, the student-level curriculum studied by the Black Falcon School of Arms focuses upon Harleian Two Hand Sword with grounding in Silver's basics, with a secondary weapon focus scheduled on a seasonally rotating basis. Schollers are responsible for setting their own additional training time for their extra fields of study.
